St Patrick’s Day XI

To celebrate St Patrick’s Day, The Score have put together an all-Irish XI from all of our Lancashire clubs:

(4-4-2):

GK – Barry Roche (Morecambe)
RB – Conor McLaughlin (Fleetwood Town)
CB – Eddie Nolan (Blackpool)
CB – Corry Evans (Blackburn Rovers)
LB – Greg Cunningham (Preston North End)
RM – Aiden McGeady (Preston North End)
CM – Jeff Hendrick (Burnley)
CM – Alan Browne (Preston North End)
LM – Robbie Brady (Burnley)
ST – Anthony Stokes (Blackburn Rovers)
ST – Will Grigg (Wigan Athletic)

Completing our team with a strong substitutes bench are the best of the past players from Ireland to come to Lancashire.

Subs bench of past Irish players:

Seamus Coleman (loan at Blackpool)
Sean St Ledger (Preston North End)
Steven Reid (Blackburn, Burnley)
James McCarthy (Wigan Athletic)
Kevin Treacy (Blackburn, Burnley and Preston)
Damien Duff (Blackburn Rovers)
David Healy (Preston North End)

No side is complete without a manager. Owen Coyle almost has a full complement of Lancashire clubs…with limited success.

Manager: Owen Coyle (Burnley, Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn)
